Vintage Flight Attendant
Happy happy Saturday!
I am currently writing this poolside, so I'd say the day is off to a great start. Again I'm featuring an old Zara find, and for that, I am truly sorry. But honestly, I couldn't spare sharing this outfit. My mother, upon seeing the romper, said it reminded her of a vintage flight attendant uniform. While I'm sure flight attendants from the 70s would not be rocking side cutouts, I can totally see the connection. Loving this retro vibe. Let's chat about the details, shall we?
The Romper: I can't pass up a good pattern. Naturally, I couldn't pass up this romper. Honestly, the cut of the romper is out of my comfort zone. It's a bit shorter than I usually like and has two small cutouts. I'm not sure how, but the piece comes together nicely and it doesn't bother me ( maybe because there are shorts beneath).
The Shoes: My mother and I found these treasures in Paris, during the sale season mid-summer. I love the classic horsebit and patent leather. The heel is ever-so chunky and I feel as though I've stepped back in time when I slip these babies on. Patent leather, in small doses, adds the perfect touch.
The Bag: My tried and true Antigona never fails me. It's a delicious shade of red, and the perfect size. Since inception, I've loved the mini bag trend. Being 5'2" (on a good day) often limits my bag selection. Mini bags look perfectly proportionate. Even if you aren't a midget like me, try one.
