That's a Wrap
I'm writing to you from the Fort Lauderdale airport, currently waiting for a delayed flight to Eleuthera. Life could definitely be worse. I've already indulged in a mini Starbucks frappuccino and several Godiva dark chocolate pearls. In lieu of eating more, I decided writing would be much more productive.
Onto today's post.
So... I'm very short. Because of this life-long detail, I have come to terms with the idea of living a maxi dress/skirt free life. However, very recently I've realized that wrap skirts work for me! So naturally I purchased several and decided to post about it. Let's chat about the details:
The Shirt: All hail the plain white tee. Not sure how it could get more simple than that. If you're going to do it, make sure it's of good quality and somewhat wrinkle-free (if possible). I opted for a cropped version of this classic, but a simple knot on a regular tee will work just fine. I feel like it's important to accentuate the waist when rocking any sort of long garment.
The Skirt: YAY, finally a maxi that fits. No hemming was made to this beauty! I'm not sure why, but wrap skirts have done wonders for me; if you're short, try it. I'm especially fond of the skirt because of the understated paisley and overall color combo.
The Shoes: I love any kind of nude footwear. Always have, always will. Obviously, I could not pass up these lovely little Chloé sandals. They have a sort of suede finish and is my take on the gladiator vibe. Invest in a good pair of nude sandals, honestly I don't think you could go wrong.
The Clutch: Beaded anything is right up my alley. I really love when they're heavy, too. Call me crazy. Love this design from Roberta Roller Rabbit.
